Please follow the policy below regarding secondary use of articles and papers published in these publications.
1. Commercial use
If a company or other entity wishes to use an article for commercial purposes, it is necessary to apply for permission to reproduce the article through the Japan Academic Association for Copyright Clearance (JAC). For more information on applying for permission, please refer to the website of the JAC.
2. Noncommercial use
In principle, JAMS grants permission for non-commercial use free of charge. No special application procedure is required, but the following conditions must be strictly observed.
(1) Copyright notice:
Please clearly state that the material is reprinted from a publication of the JAMS in the place of use. In addition, please include the following information in the References section:
・Name of the journal, year of publication, volume number, and page(s) of the reprinted article
・Title of the article
・Name of author(s)
(2) Non-commercial use
Please confirm that the purpose of use is not for profit.
(3) No modification: Please use the original content without modification.
3. Prohibitions
The following acts are prohibited without permission.
(1) Unauthorized reproduction or redistribution for commercial purposes
(2) Reuse of the original content with modification.
(3) Use without a copyright notice, even for noncommercial purposes.
Please note that appropriate action may be taken if any use is found to be in violation of this policy.
4. Uploading to archive sites
JAMS permits authors to upload publisher’s pdf files of their papers in the following sites without embargo period:
(1) Repository of the institutions to which the authors belong
(2) Free academic archiving sites
No special application procedure is required, but when uploading, please follow the copyright policy summarized in the “Society Copyright Policies in Japan” of the Japan Consortium for Open Access Repository (JPCOAR).
